The active ingredient specified in the Safety Data Sheet below applies to the plant invigorating properties of SB Plant Invigorator. Research has shown that the pesticidal activity of this product is achieved by a physical means. Physical modes of action are classed as non-biological and non-chemical for which no specific active ingredients are identified within the product.

3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION

SB Plant Invigorator is not classified as hazardous.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES

4.1 FIRST AID

4.1.1 Eye Contact: Flush with water for at least 15 minutes.

4.1.2 Skin Contact: Remove all contaminated clothing immediately. Wash affected area with soap and water.

4.1.3 Ingestion: Stop the patient from working and keep at rest away from the workplace.  Remove all restrictive clothing. Keep patient under observation. Seek medical attention if patient becomes unwell.

4.1.4 Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Loosen or remove clothing. Keep at rest and under observation. Seek medical attention if patient becomes unwell.

4.2 TREATMENT

There is no antidote.  Treatment should be supportive and symptomatic.

5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES

5.1 Call the Fire Brigade at once to deal with all fires unless the fire is very small and immediately controllable.

5.2 Extinguishing media: Water spray

5.3 Special exposure hazards: None known

5.4 Protective Equipment for firefighters: As for all fires involving fertilizers; Suitable protection suit suitable gloves and boots; self contained apparatus

5.5 If contamination of drains, sewers, surface or ground water is unavoidable, inform the local water plc and the Environment Agency or the Scottish Environment Protection Agency.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

6.1 Keep all  people and animals away from the spillage area.

6.2 Avoid skin and eye contact with product or contaminated surfaces.

6.3 Wash hands and exposed skin thoroughly immediately after handling or if contaminated.

6.4 Absorb spillage onto sand or earth. Shovel contaminated sand or earth into marked bags or drums. Dispose of through a reputable local waste disposal contractor.

6.5 Inform local water plc immediately if spillage enters drains and the Environment Agency or the Scottish Environment Protection Agency if it enters surface or ground waters.

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE

7.1 Handling Procedures

When using do not eat, drink or smoke.  Wear suitable gloves when handling SB Plant Invigorator.

7.2 Storage

Keep in original containers, tightly closed, in a secure, dry, well-ventilated store.

Do not store near food, feedingstuffs or drinking water.

Keep out of reach of children.

8. EXPOSURE CONTROL/PERSONAL PROTECTION

8.1 OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS

There are no OELs for this product.

8.2 PERSONAL PROTECTION

Ventilation:  If airborne particulates may be generated, proper ventilation must be provided.

Gloves should be used when handling the concentrate.

11.2 Inhaling aerosolised droplets may cause irritation.
